CONFERENCE INTERPRETING, A NEW STUDENTS' COMPANION Andrew Gillies

The book (a new, thoroughly revised and expanded edition of Gillies's popular Students' Companion) suggests a variety of practice activities for students of conference interpreting. It aims to offer specific practical help to student interpreters in the form of comments and exercises which will accelerate progress, enhance motivation and make practice time as productive as possible. It does not address the principles of good interpreting (which can be found elsewhere) but rather how to practice some of these generally accepted principles. All the exercises described have been used by student interpreters and proved interesting and entertaining.
